Griffins


Griffin or Griffon:

have the head, beak, and wings of an eagle and a lion's body. They tear their vitims with their sharp beak while holding them down with their talons. The true origin of a Griffin is unknown, but it's somewhere in the middle East.

Hippogrif:

Hippogrifs are ferocious creatures.

They are a legendary creature that is half griffin and half horse. From its father it has the head and forequarters of a griffin. The hindquarters is from its mother the horse.

In Novels:

In Harry potter and the Prisoner of Aklezban, a Hippogrif is introduced. In the book it was named Buckbeak. According to the book, they are touchy creatures that you don't want to mess with. Buckbeak attacked Malfoy because Malfoy insulted it.To become its friend you must bow to it first and if it bows back then he's your friend. Harry bowed to Buckbeak and it let Harry ride him.



Hippocerf:

Hippocerf's is a half horse and half deer. They represent indecision.
